The Westerville Planning Commission voted July 27 to allow Huntington Bank to tear down its 45-year-old branch at the corner of Schrock Road and South State Street to construct a new, larger building.

The new 46,000-square-foot branch will be located closer to the intersection, as is recommended by the South State Street overlay, and will be mostly brick with large windows and a rounded corner wall of glass and metal.

The building will be heavily accented with Huntington's new, bright green branding color.
