A personal training and fitness facility will soon call Westerville home, and its owner said she hopes to grow her business in the city.

The Westerville Planning Commission on Jan. 25 unanimously approved a conditional use permit for Bexa Body Fitness.

Bexa Body will be using 3,000 square-feet of space at 695 McCorkle Blvd.

The site is zoned industrial.

Bexa Body will primarily serve clients before and after traditional work hours, and on Saturdays. It will not be a membership facility, meaning clients will work one-on-one with trainers during scheduled appointments.

Bexa Body owner Rebecca Black said the business will brings seven job to the city. She said her goal is to build a larger facility in the next five years and stay in Westerville.

"My long-term goals are to continue to grow in Westerville," Black said. "Westerville reminds me of home and I really want to start my business here."

The conditional use permit will go to city council for final approval.

The next planning commission meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Feb. 22, at City Hall, 21 S. State St.
