Westerville's Got Talent will entertain, fund Lions projects

Westerville residents will share their talents this weekend in a fundraiser for the Westerville Lions Club.

Westerville's Got Talent will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in the auditorium of Westerville South High School, 303 S. Otterbein Ave.

Twenty acts will compete for a grand prize of $500. The runner-up will receive a $250 prize. The contestants will be judged on their talent choice, overall performance and audience appeal.

Acts include singers, dancers and a variety of musicians such as pianists, hand-bell players and ukulele players. The master of ceremonies will be local news anchor Mindy Drayer.

Tickets will be $10. They can be purchased in advance from show participants or Lions Club members. They also will be available at the door.

Proceeds from the show will support the Westerville Lions Club's philanthropic projects, such as providing eye exams and glasses, funding eye research, working toward blindness prevention and providing pilot dogs and annual scholarships.
