Blendon Township police searching for suspects in two robberies


Blendon Township police are asking residents to aid in the investigations of two robberies at local gas stations in November and December.

At 10:15 a.m. Nov. 28, a black man believed to be in his 20s beat and robbed the clerk at the Swifty Gas Station, 5280 Westerville Road.

The robber, who is described as stocky and having neatly trimmed facial hair, fled in a maroon minivan driven by a black female. The van was parked at the Certified Gas Station.

A man fitting the same description robbed the Certified Gas Station, 5323 Westerville Road at 2 p.m. Dec. 21. In that case, the man showed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.
