• Duct Tape Crafts, 4-5 p.m., Thursday, March 28. Ages 8-11. Back by popular demand.  We’ll make a wallet or a flower using just duct tape. Registration required.

• Sit & Knit Day, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, March 30. Knit, crochet, cross stitch, quilt, rug hook & spin. Bring your favorite lunch item for the potluck.  Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.  Ages 14 and up.  Meeting rooms.

• Kindle Fire Tutorial, 2-3 p.m., Monday, April 1. Learn some of the basic functions of a Kindle Fire along with some tricks and tips that will help you get the most out of your gadget.  For the Kindle Fire tablet only. Meeting Room A.  Registration required.

• Poetry Read Out Loud, 7-8:30 p.m., Monday, April 1. All poets are invited to read from their work or favorite poem. Meeting Room A.  Registration required.

• Deborah Blum and Poison, 7-8:30 p.m., Thursday, April 4. Pulitzer Prize-winning author of five books Deborah Blum will speak about her newest title, The Poisoner’s Handbook. Blum shares the story of how poison rocked Jazz Age New York City while a pair of forensic scientists, employing trail-blazing chemical detective work, fight to end an era when untraceable poisons offered an easy path to the perfect crime.  A book signing will follow her lecture.
