James D. Edwards of Westerville has been named to the Ohio University Foundation Board.
Foundation Board trustees are chosen based on their strong ties to OU, a demonstrated ability to give and raise funds for the university and their commitment to the university through involvement with a school, campus or program.
Edwards was the owner and director of the Environmental Division for Burgess & Niple’s office in Parkersburg, W.Va., before his retirement in 2011. He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from OU in 1970.
Edwards is a member of the Fritz J. and Dolores H. Russ College of Engineering and Technology’s Advancement Committee. He was a member of the Russ College’s Chemical Engineering Advisory Committee and served on the College’s Dinos Professorship Committee.
