Genoa police: Burglar caught in the act

Genoa Township police, responding to a home security alarm, arrested a suspected burglar in the act.

Township police were called to a residence in the 4700 block of St. Andrews Drive just after 8 a.m. March 28. They discovered that entry had been forced into the house, and a man was found inside.

Police arrested Tyson E. Kustic, 36, of Old Village Road in Columbus, on burglary charges.

According to police reports, Kustic was attempting to escape through a window and was Tasered by police when he did not respond to commands to stop.

He was taken to the Delaware County jail and charged with second-degree felony burglary and fifth-degree felony vandalism.

Police said they searched the area but did not find any other suspects.
