Westerville: Car break-in reports keeping police busy

Blendon Township police reported several thefts from vehicles over the last week, plus the theft of one unlocked car.

The 1979 Cadillac was stolen from the 2900 block of Kilbourne Avenue between midnight and 5 a.m. April 5, according to township police reports.

Reported thefts from unoccupied vehicles in the township over the last week included the theft of a GPS unit and clothing from a car parked in the 4000 block of Beauty Rose Avenue April 1 and the theft of a safe from the trunk of a car parked in the 3500 block of Fox Run Road April 5. The safe was later recovered still locked with nothing stolen, police said.

In recent reports from the Westerville Division of Police:

* A tire inflator and CDs were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Farrington Drive between 8 a.m. April 2 and 8:35 a.m. April 3. Another resident on that block reported the stereo faceplate stolen from a parked vehicle within the same timeframe.

* An iPod and its charger were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 600 block of Paddlewheel Drive between midnight and 6:30 a.m. April 2.
