Westerville: Entry forced in Hunt Club Drive burglary

Entry was forced into a home in the 3300 block of Hunt Club Drive in a burglary between 12:30 and 3 p.m. April 17, Blendon Township police reported.

The burglar stole two laptop computers and a video gaming system, township police said.

In recent incident reports from the Westerville Division of Police:

* A 16-year-old Westerville North High School student was arrested and charged with assault through the Franklin County Juvenile Court at 2 p.m. April 16 after he admitted to punching another student in the face at the school, 950 County Line Road.

* Two people were injured and transported to local hospitals after their vehicles collided at 10 a.m. April 15 at the corner of East Schrock Road and Park Meadow Road. According to Westerville accident reports, the drive traveling westbound on Schrock failed to stop for a red light and collided with a vehicle traveling northbound on Park Meadow.

The 60-year-old female driver of the westbound car was cited for failing to stop for the red light.

* Thieves smashed the window out of a car parked at the Westerville Sports Complex, 325 N. Cleveland Ave., between 3:45 and 4:45 p.m. April 16. A cooler containing a credit cards and about $100 in cash was reported stolen.

* Twenty-four wooden pallets were reported stolen between noon April 12 and 3:30 p.m. April 15 in the 100 block of Heatherdown Drive. The pallets were in a fenced in area and padlocked down, police reported.
