The Uptown Westerville Farmers' Market will open its 2013 season at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, in the parking lot at the corner of North State and East Home streets.
The market will be open from 3 to 6 p.m. each Wednesday through Oct. 30, with a variety of vendors offering produce, baked goods, cheese, jam, condiments, honey, maple syrup, meats, eggs, plants, cut flowers and more.
As the market opens, fresh produce selections likely will include asparagus, rhubarb, greens, lettuces and radishes, according to market organizers.
In addition to vendors, throughout the season, Market Wednesday will feature demonstrations by resident cooking instructor, Cindy Ramsey, and displays from community partners including the Westerville Public Library, the Westerville Electric Division and the Westerville Senior Center.
The Uptown Westerville Farmers' Market is held rain or shine. In-lot and on-street free parking is available near the market and throughout Uptown Westerville. Bicycle parking is available in the Rotary Park at the southeast corner of State and Home streets.
