The first Young Entrepreneur Program, a two-week camp inspired by the television program Shark Tank, will be held from Monday, July 15, through Friday, July 26, in Westerville.

The first Young Entrepreneur Program, a two-week camp inspired by the television program Shark Tank, will be held from Monday, July 15, through Friday, July 26, in Westerville.

The camp for students ages 11 to 14 is sponsored by the city of Westerville, Westerville City Schools, Otterbein University, the Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce, Your Management Team and TECHCOLUMBUS.

Campers will learn business concepts including marketing, sales, networking, budgeting and leadership. Successful Columbus entrepreneurs will visit each day to share specific lessons in their area of expertise. Campers also will visit area businesses to learn business concepts firsthand.

The maximum number of student participants is 24. Camp sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The fee is $300 for Westerville residents and $315 for nonresidents. Extended care is available for an additional fee.

Registration is available online or at the Westerville Community Center, 350 N. Cleveland Ave. Limited scholarships are available through the Westerville Chamber Foundation, the charitable arm of the WACC.
