Early Learning Center hosts 216 students

The 2013-2014 school year marks the first time that all preschool classes in the Westerville City School District are being held at one centralized location, the Early Learning Center.

On Aug. 19, 216 children and their parents walked through the doors at 936 Eastwind Drive. The newly renovated space was designed to inspire young students and their teachers.

Until last year, preschool classes were scattered throughout the district in a number of elementary school buildings. Now, space has opened up in those schools to accommodate growth while preschool is held in close proximity to the district's Special Education professionals, whose offices are located upstairs.

The facility houses 12 preschool classes in the morning and 12 in the afternoon.
