Body found in Blendon Township’s Ridgewood Park


Blendon Township police have a 16-year-old suspect in custody following the discovery of a body in Ridgewood Park, near the corner of Buenos Aires Boulevard and state Route 161, Sunday night, Oct. 20.

The body of the 55-year-old woman was found by Blendon Township police on the park’s main walking trail at 7 p.m. She had been stabbed several times, according to the press release.

The 16-year-old boy is being held in the Franklin County Juvenile Center under a juvenile complaint of murder.

Police have not released the name of the victim, pending notification of her next of kin.
