The Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce is asking for nominations for its annual Business Person of the Year and Young Professional of the year awards.
For the Business Person of the Year, the nomination must focus on a person, not a specific business, and the person must work in the Westerville area.
Nominees do not have to be chamber members.
Business Person of the Year nominees should be able to provide examples of successful solutions to business challenges.
Nominees should have reputations of personal integrity and fair business practices, and should demonstrate management or product innovation, leadership in the business sector and community involvement.
The nomination deadline for the Business Person of the Year award is Oct. 31.
Nominees for the Young Professional of the Year Award must be between 23 and 39 years old at the time of the nomination and must be employed by a Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce member, serving a minimum of eight years in their present roles.
Nominees should have demonstrated leadership accomplishments, should have played a major role in the creation of or involvement in a project or nonprofit organization, and should have histories of using unique and creative approaches to meet needs of their businesses or the community.
Nominees should be young professionals who actively are pursuing excellence in their professions.
The deadline for nominations for the Young Professional of the Year Award is Oct. 30.
Recipients will be honored at the chamber's annual membership meeting Jan. 28.
