CSG to stage musical version of classic

The Columbus School for Girls Upper School Department of Theater will present Little Women, the Broadway Musical, Thursday, Nov. 14, through Sunday, Nov. 17, in the CSG Agnes Shedd Theater, 56 S. Columbia Ave.

Shows begin at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14, 8 p.m. Nov. 15 and 16, and 2 p.m. Nov. 17.

Based on Louisa May Alcott's own family experiences and the novel, this musical follows the adventures of Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March as they grow up in Civil War America. The audience follows Jo on her journey of self-discovery filled with laughter, tears and a lifting of the spirit.

The cast features CSG students Annalise Vaccarello of Blacklick as Jo, Eliya Smith of Bexley, and New Albany residents Jordan Brooks and Lexi Bright as Meg and Beth respectively. Other performers include Grace Bolander of Dublin, Katherine Hohl of New Albany, Helen Abraha and Isabella Stratmann of Westerville and Ellie Hasan of Hilliard.

Cast members from other schools include Kevin McCoy from Whetstone High School; Grant Jackson, Ben Durell and Ryan Eliot from Bexley High School; and Colton Weiss from Ohio State University.

This period production also features the work of more than 45 CSG crew members and six student musicians in the CSG pit orchestra.

Tickets are $10, $5 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are $15 to $25 for Premier Seating (front row patron).
