Twenty-three elevator motors were reported stolen between Dec. 1 and Jan. 16 from a business in the 900 block of Eastwind Drive.
The motors are valued between $2,000 and $6,000 each, depending on the size, Westerville police reports said.
The business had counted its inventory in early December and checked its stock again after employees complained that a significant number of the motors were missing.
As the business had no signs of forced entry over the period of the thefts, Westerville police were investigating the business' employees for involvement with the thefts, reports said.
