Four students representing each of Westerville's middle schools, have been nominated for the Ohio Association for Gifted Children's 2014 Distinguished Student Award.

Launched by the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) in memory of an extraordinarily gifted 7-year-old killed in a drive-by shooting while traveling in Italy in 1994, the $500 Nicholas Green Distinguished Student Award is granted to one gifted student in each state. Nominees must demonstrate excellence and outstanding accomplishment in visual or performing arts, academic achievement or leadership.
Only one nominee from Ohio will be submitted to NAGC. The Ohio nominee will be recognized, along with his/her family, at the OAGC Fall Conference.
