Come Rock the 'Ville Aug. 9

By

All ages are invited to celebrate art and music in Uptown Westerville at Rock the 'Ville on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 3 to 9 p.m.

In addition to music and entertainment on three stages, there will be an expanded children's activity area. Kids will have opportunities to draw, enjoy bubble play and help create a sculpture.

On College Avenue, professional artists will show their magic with chalk and compete for prizes. Thanks to Amish Originals Furniture, families can receive a free box of chalk (50 boxes available) for expressing their creativity in the sidewalk area near U.S. Bank. Chalk and block assignments will be available at the registration tent.

On the City Hall stage, professional bands from around central Ohio will perform country, bluegrass and rock music. High school and college bands will play on the stage located behind My Cousin's Closet, and musicians and dancers will entertain in an acoustic area near Captivating Canines on Main Street.

Uptown merchants will offer activities within their stores. This celebration of arts and music in Uptown is sponsored by the Arts Council of Westerville and the Uptown Merchants.
