Fourth Annual Suicide Prevention Walk, sponsored by HelpLine of Delaware and Morrow Counties Inc. and the Delaware Suicide Prevention Coalition, 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 6 at Bicentennial Park in Delaware. Families, professionals and others are invited to participate for healing and raising awareness. The theme is "Hope. Help. Healing." Donations to benefit the Delaware Suicide Prevention Coalition will be accepted. Westerville Cops and Kids Day, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 7 at Hoff Woods Park. This free community event is designed to provide children and the community an opportunity to interact with law enforcement agencies while learning about equipment and technology that the officers use. Children may participate in games and other activities.

Heritage Christian Church, the Jimmy Dayton Memorial Golf Outing for men and women, 8 a.m. Sept. 20 at Royal American Links, 3300 Miller Paul Road in Galena. This event will use a scramble format, and be followed by lunch. All proceeds will be used to enable Winebrenner Theological Seminary to train incarcerated men to become chaplains. Third Annual Steps of Faith 5K Run & Walk, 4 p.m. Sept. 21 at Alum Creek Park, North 5K Route, Westerville. All race proceeds will support the Heinzerling Foundation and Bradley's House of Hope, local and global organizations working to engage and develop individuals with disabilities. The Heinzerling Foundation is a private nonprofit organization that provides a residential home for 208 children and adults on the southwest side of Columbus. AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program helps unemployed Franklin, Delaware and Licking county workers age 55 and over find employment.
