Sunday February 10, 2013 11:51 AM

Westerville Central High School senior Charlie Moushey, who holds the boys track and field program record in the pole vault, signed a letter of intent Feb. 6 to compete at the University of Kentucky.

Moushey was the Warhawks’ lone representative in the Division I state meet last season at Ohio State, where he finished fourth (15 feet, 4 inches) behind two-time state champion Jake Blankenship of Gahanna, who set a state record (17-2).

Moushey broke his own program record of 15-6 with an effort of 16-0 in last season’s regional meet at Pickerington North. He finished second behind Blankenship (17-3/4).
