Westerville Central's Phillips, Ruman to play in college

Brista Phillips and Allison Ruman, who helped lead the Westerville Central High School girls soccer team to a winning season last fall, will play at the collegiate level.

Phillips, a midfielder/defender, will play at Illinois. Ruman, a defender, will play at Wittenberg.

Phillips was first-team all-OCC-Cardinal Division and third-team all-district in Division I last season. Ruman was special mention all-league.

The Warhawks finished 11-3-4 last fall, losing to Worthington Kilbourne 1-0 in double overtime in a district semifinal.
