Whitehall City Council members on Aug. 7 were expected to approve an automobile dealership at 5250 E. Main St.

Infiniti of Columbus is seeking a special permit to allow the sale of new and used vehicles at the site.

A public hearing was scheduled for the ordinance and its third and final reading Aug. 7, when it was expected to be approved.

It was the only legislative item scheduled for consideration at the meeting, which was scheduled to start at 6 p.m., one hour earlier than usual and after ThisWeek's press deadline. The meeting was set to be held at John Bishop Park as part of Whitehall's celebration of National Night Out.
