Whitehall police are asking the public to help identify a “clean-cut man” who wielded an ax during a Nov. 4 robbery at the Shell gas station, 4780 E. Broad St.

Police reported a man, recorded on a video camera, entered the gas station at about 8:50 p.m. Nov. 4 and pulled a hand ax from his jacket. He slammed the ax onto the counter top, shattering a protective, plastic covering, and demanded money from the cash register.

The man reached across the counter and grabbed an undisclosed amount of money from the drawer and fled eastbound on foot, police said.

The robber is described as a white male with dark hair, about 18 to 23 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches to 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing about 150 to 180 pounds. Witnesses described him as “clean-cut.”

Anyone with information should call 614-237-6333.
