Whitehall police arrested a 17-year-old boy for assault and domestic violence at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at a residence in the first block of Collingwood Avenue. The boy, following a verbal dispute with a 16-year-old boy, allegedly used a knife to cause a small facial laceration.

Police reported a robbery at Dollar General, 5156 E. Main St., at 5 p.m. Nov. 7.

The manager observed a man and a woman stealing merchandise worth about $400. As the couple attempted to leave, the manager advised them he had called police.

The male suspect and three children with the couple assaulted the manager, and all five people fled in a vehicle.

The vehicle was registered to a resident in Austintown, but police there determined the suspects no longer resided at that address.

Police reported a robbery at 12:10 a.m. Nov. 7 at United Dairy Farmers, 4890 E. Main St. A man demanded and took about $50, police said.

A 49-year-old man told police he was assaulted during an attempted robbery at 11:30 p.m. Oct. 31 at a bus stop in the 4600 block of East Main Street.

The man said another man demanded money and shoved him to the ground. He called police several hours later from a fast-food restaurant in the 1000 block of South Hamilton Road.

Police reported a 49-year-old man was assaulted and robbed at 4:30 a.m. Nov. 1 near East Main Street and South Yearling Road. The man said four men in a Ford Mustang struck him with baseball bats and took his bicycle. He also said one of the men had a gun. He called police from a woman's apartment in Columbus.

Police reported a robbery at 2 p.m. Nov. 1 in the parking lot of an apartment building in the 4200 block of Rickenbacker Avenue.

Police reported an assault at 11:40 a.m. Nov. 1 in the 3600 block of East Main Street.

An assault was reported at 8:25 p.m. Nov. 5 in the 4700 block of East Broad Street.

Police responded to a report of shots fired at 11:20 p.m. Nov. 4 at Collingwood and Maplewood avenues. No physical evidence or suspects were identified.

A vehicle was reported stolen at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 1 from outside an apartment in the 1100 block of Irongate Lane.

Police reported a breaking-and-entering at 9 p.m. Nov. 1 in the 3600 block of East Main Street.

Police arrested a 35-year-old man at 7:10 a.m. Nov. 2 for assault and domestic violence in the 400 block of Cumberland Drive.

An assault was reported at 5:50 p.m. Nov. 2 in the 100 block of South Hamilton Road.

Police reported an assault at 3:10 p.m. Oct. 5 at an apartment in the 100 block of South Hamilton Road.

Police reported a disturbance at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 3 in the 600 block of South Hamilton Road.

Police arrested a 39-year-old woman at 3:30 a.m. Nov. 4 for assault in the 3800 block of East Main Street.

Police arrested an 18-year-old man at 3:40 a.m. Nov. 4 for obstructing official business in the 1100 block of South Hamilton Road.

A burglary was reported at 1 p.m. Nov. 4 in the 1000 block of Bernhard Road.

Police reported a vehicle was stolen at 7:50 a.m. Nov. 7 from the 200 block of Barkley Place East.

A theft was reported at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 6 in the 3900 block of East Broad Street.

Police reported a disturbance at 2 a.m. Nov. 8 in the 200 block of Parklawn Boulevard.
