Whitehall: 15-year-old arrested for having knife at school

Whitehall police arrested a 15-year-old boy for possession of a deadly weapon in a school safety zone at 11:30 a.m. June 5 at Rosemore Middle School, 4800 Langley Ave.

A school official called police after officials received reports of a specific student displaying a knife at the school.

Upon questioning, the student told school officials he had a knife and "carried it for protection because a kid in the neighborhood got jumped," according to the report.

Police described the weapon as a large black lock-blade knife.

* Police reported a 47-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint at 1 a.m. June 6 in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 400 block of South Hamilton Road.

The woman told police a man pointed a gun at her and took $120 and her cellphone.

* A 44-year-old man told police he was assaulted during an attempted robbery at 6 p.m. June 2 in the 400 block of South Hamilton Road.

The man told police he was taking trash to a receptacle outside his apartment building when another man demanded money, and then struck him in the head, police said.

* Police reported an assault at 10 a.m. May 30 at a restaurant in the 1100 block of South Hamilton Road.

* Property destruction was reported at 10:05 a.m. May 31 in the 600 block of South Hamilton Road.

* An assault was reported at 10:50 a.m. May 31 in the 4100 block of Chandler Drive.

* Police reported a theft at 11:20 a.m. May 31 in the 300 block of Barkley Place.

* Police reported an assault at 4:50 p.m. May 31 in the 800 block of Westphal Avenue.

* An assault was reported at 11 p.m. June 2 at an apartment in the 4200 block of East Broad Street.

* Police arrested four boys for criminal trespassing at 8 p.m. May 31 in the 4800 block of East Broad Street.

* A 19-year-old man was arrested for assault and domestic violence at 8:50 p.m. May 31 in the 4100 block of Beechbank Road.

* Police reported a burglary at 9:45 p.m. May 31 at a residence in the 4000 block of Beechbank Road.

* A vehicle was reported stolen at 9:50 a.m. June 1 in the 100 block of Little Flower Lane.

* A vehicle was reported stolen at 1:25 p.m. June 1 in the 1000 block of Irongate Lane.

* A burglary was reported at 4:15 p.m. June 1 at an apartment in the 5300 block of Great Oak Way.

* Police arrested a 15-year-old girl for assault and domestic violence at 5:30 p.m. June 1 in the 900 block of Duke Road.

* A burglary was reported at 2:05 p.m. June 2 in the 700 block of Westphal Avenue.

* Police arrested a 37-year-old woman for assault and domestic violence at 8:35 p.m. June 2 in the 500 block of Beechwood Road.

* Property destruction was reported at 10:35 a.m. June 3 at an apartment in the 5100 block of Longbranch Drive.

* Police arrested a 24-year-old man for criminal trespassing and misconduct during an emergency situation at 11:30 p.m. June 3 in the 300 block of South Hamilton Road.

* Police responded to a report of shots fired at 1 a.m. June 4 in the 900 block of Dimson Drive East. No physical evidence or suspects were identified.

* A burglary was reported at 4:50 a.m. June 4 at an apartment in the 100 block of Parklawn Boulevard.

* Police reported a burglary at 1 a.m. June 5 at an apartment in the 5300 block of Gatehouse Lane.

* Property destruction was reported at 5 p.m. June 5 at an apartment in the 100 block of Fairway Boulevard.
