Whitehall Parks and Recreation offers ongoing exercise classes at the Whitehall Activity Center, 402 N. Hamilton Road. Aerobics classes start at 7 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. Ohio Dominican University, College Goal Sunday, 2 p.m. Feb. 9, in Erskine Hall on the university's main campus, 1216 Sunbury Road. The free program is designed to help students apply for federal financial aid, with financial aid professionals available to answer questions. Volunteers will help students and parents complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This event is presented by the Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and endorsed by the Ohio Board of Regents. AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program assists unemployed Franklin, Delaware and Licking county workers age 55 and over with securing employment. The program offers paid work experience, specialized training, upgrading of skills and job-search assistance. Age, income and residency requirements apply. Medicare Counseling, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month at Wexner Heritage Village, 1151 College Ave. Volunteer Kathy Markus, a Medicare outreach specialist for the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging, will hold open office hours to discuss enrollment options, prescription drug plans and their benefits, Medicare Advantage plans, financial assistance programs for people with limited incomes and long-term care insurance. The free, confidential, one-on-one service is being offered in partnership with the Ohio Department of Insurance's Senior Health Insurance Information Program.
