Repairs are complete at Whitehall Community Park and programming has resumed as normal, Whitehall Recreation and Parks Director Steve Carr said.

"It's still kind of chilly here; a few adjustments might need to be made," but otherwise operations returned to normal Jan. 16.

The city was forced to close the activities center at Whitehall Community Park, 402 N. Hamilton Road, on Dec. 5 after the building lost heat.

It was determined a boiler leaked water after a pipe was damaged.

The city spent $1,800 for asbestos abatement and $13,000 to weld new pipes, Carr said.

The cost was provided for in last year's general fund budget.
