The Whitehall City School District will accept open enrollment applications from April 15 through May 30.
Open enrollment is for any Whitehall student who resides in Whitehall and whose parent would like to request his or her child be permitted to attend another Whitehall elementary school outside the designated attendance area, but still within Whitehall's boundaries.
Applications are available at the district's website, whitehallcityschools.org, and at its administration office, 625 S. Yearling Road. They also are available at each elementary school.
No applications will be accepted after 3 p.m. May 30.
Parents will be notified five calendar days before school begins in August as to whether their application has been accepted or denied. Applications will be denied if class sizes reach the designated limit.
If an application is approved, parents are responsible for all transportation of their children attending another school under the program.
