Whitehall: Man allegedly threatens to kill woman, fires gun

Whitehall police arrested a man April 13 after he allegedly threatened to kill a woman and fired a gun outside an apartment in the first block of Midcliff Drive.

Police arrested Micah Perry, 34, of Great Oak Drive on charges of felonious assault and possessing weapons under disability.

Police responded to the apartment at 3:25 a.m. April 13 on reports of a man and woman arguing and of gunshots.

A woman found crying in the roadway told police she and Perry had been at a nearby restaurant when he saw a text message from a man who is the father of her first child.

Perry reportedly drove away from the restaurant north on South Hamilton Road and stopped on Midcliff Drive, where he and the woman exited the vehicle.

Witnesses told police they heard gunshots and that Perry threatened to kill the woman. Perry fled from the scene; police recovered shell casings from the area, reports said.

Police were advised Perry could be at an apartment in the first block of South Hamilton Road, where he was eventually located and arrested. Police also recovered a loaded gun with bullets consistent with the casings found at the scene, reports said.
