• Children of all ages are invited to listen to storyteller Lyn Ford's silly folktales about all kinds of bugs and insects at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at Northwest Library. Free tickets are required and are available at the Children's Desk.

• Northwest Library will hold a release party for the final book in the "Breaking Dawn" series at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2. Youth ages 12-18 can play games like "Twilight," Jeopardy and Monopoly; participate in activities like Drive Like a Cullen and Emmitt's Arm Wrestling Contest and more. Prizes await the winners of a look-alike competition and T-shirt contest.

• Preschoolers are invited for Stories & Crafts, a themed program series that will highlight pets, on Wednesday, Aug. 6; Let's Go to the Zoo on Aug. 13; and Pigs on Parade on Aug. 20. All programs begin at 10 a.m. at Worthington Park Library.

• Speaking Volumes, an Old Worthington Library evening book discussion group, will discuss "Suite Française" by Irene Nemirovsky at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6. A tale of life under Nazi occupation, "Suite Française" was discovered and published 62 years after the Nemirovsky's death at Auschwitz.
