Kids of all ages are invited to Worthington Park Library to learn more about day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1. Celebrate this special Mexican holiday with snacks, crafts and activities.

"Mark My Words," the library's writing series, will meet from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Griswold Center, 777 High St. This workshop is aimed at teaching adults how to write for children, and will be led by Tracey Dils, the author of more than 35 children's books. Free, but registration is required; call 807-2626.

Kids in grades 4-6 can test their knowledge of creepy night-time creatures 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at Old Worthington Library. Have fun with trivia and more at "Things That Go Bump in the Night."

Adult English language learners with basic English skills are encouraged to attend the library's conversation group meetings. The conversation group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesdays, Nov. 4-Dec. 16, at the Lazelle Woods Community Recreation Center, 8140 Sancus Blvd. Registration is required.
