10:56 a.m. Dec. 11, in the 5100 block of Avery Oak Drive: Witnesses said a man walked behind a house, the burglar alarm sounded, and the man ran back to his car and sped away. Police said the rear door was kicked in, but no entry was made.

Between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 10, in the 7800 block of Meadow Haven Boulevard: A man reported someone broke into his home and stole a $2,000 surround sound system, a $250 CD player and $350.

Between 5 p.m. Dec. 10 and 4 p.m. Dec. 12, in the 1700 block of Twin Oaks: A woman reported the theft of $450 worth of fishing poles from her garage.

Dec. 8, in the 1100 block of Clement Drive: Police charged a man with domestic violence and assault.

Dec. 3, West Dublin-Granville Road: Police charged a man with forgery and falsification/taking the identity of another.

Dec. 9, in the 1500 block of Worthington Row Road: Police charged a woman with domestic violence and assault.

10:35 a.m. Dec. 4, Worthington Kilbourne High School, 1499 Hard Road: A teenager reported someone hit him in the face. The school resource officer witnessed the assault.

Between 2:15 and 2:45 p.m. Dec. 11, in the 6800 block of Linbrook Boulevard: A woman reported someone shattered a $700 granite bench in her back yard, the latest in a string of incidents of vandalism.

Thefts from or vandalism to autos were reported from: the 4900 block of Olentangy River Road, the 6800 block of Caine Road, the 3100 block of Hayden Road, the 900 block of Cherryfield Avenue, the 2500 block of Rosebush Drive, the 8300 and 8500 blocks of Lyra Drive, the 7400 and 7500 blocks of Vantage Drive, the 8600 block of Jamey Court, the 7400 block of Highcross Boulevard and the 7600 block of New Market Center Way.

Dec. 10, in the 1100 block of Polaris Parkway: Police charged a man with violation of a protection order.

Thefts from or vandalism to autos were reported from: the 1100, 1400 and 1500 blocks of Polaris Parkway, the 8500 block of Pulsar Place and the corner of Sancus Boulevard and Lazelle Road.

2:30 p.m. Dec. 11, in the first block of West Kanawha Road: A woman reported two men backed a van into her driveway and went to her front door, then her back door, then tried to force entry through a sliding glass door. They fled when they saw she was at home, she said.

Between 7 a.m. Dec. 10 and noon Dec. 11, in the first block of Pocono Road: A woman reported the theft of her 2002 Toyota Sienna. It was unlocked and key was on the floorboard, she said.

Between 12:39 and 12:50 a.m. Dec. 13, state Route 315 southbound south of state Route 161: A man was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, unsafe lane change and speeding.

Between 4:30 p.m. Dec. 13 and 8:45 a.m. Dec. 14, in the 400 block of Rosslyn Avenue: A man reported a vandal threw a rock through the rear window of his 1993 Ford Taurus.
