Sarah Liddle, daughter of Evan Dicken of Columbus and Debby Liddle of Dublin, was a first place winner in the East Central Colleges' 18th annual student literary Competition. Liddle's winning submission was "The Skeleton Doll" in the Fiction Division.

First place winners receive a cash prize of $175.

Liddle, a graduate of Thomas Worthington High School, is a senior at Otterbein majoring in English.

Colleen Kellenberger, a graduate of Thomas Worthington High School, has been named a 2009 National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellow.

The fellowship will provide three years of funding as Kellenberger pursues a doctoral degree in chemistry at the University of California Berkeley.

She is a senior at the University of Rochester, and will graduate with two Bachelor of Science degrees, in chemistry and biological sciences (molecular genetics concentration). Kellenberger worked in several labs throughout her undergraduate career.

She is the daughter of Kathleen Gallant and Gregg and Rebecca Kellenberger.
