"Tracking Patterns," an exhibition of mixed-media quilts by artist Deborah Melton Anderson, will be on display through Nov. 9 at the Worthington Community Center, 345 E. Wilson Bridge Road.

The show is part of the McConnell Arts Center 2009 Visual Arts Exhibition Series, which aims to promote the work of local artists.

Anderson's recent works are inspired by tracking systems used by commercial companies, including the United States Postal Service. Small red or black dots on mail received via the USPS became part of her designs.

High Road Gallery, 12 E. Stafford Ave., will welcome the Delaware Artists Guild in October.

The exhibition, called "Northern Exposure," features art in a variety of media, including paintings, sculptures, textiles and cards.

Show dates are Sept. 30 through Oct. 24. An artists' reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4.

Worthington Area Art League's fall exhibit will be on display Sept. 28 through Nov. 13 during normal business hours at Anthem's gallery, 6740 N. High St.

This year's exhibit is titled "Applesauce." All art pieces entered into the show are inspired by, but not limited to, apples.

WAAL is one of the area's largest art leagues, with more than 150 members. An artists' reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, with an awards ceremony scheduled for 3 p.m.
