Bob McCollins of Worthington is the new vice president of marketing for the Order of United Commercial Travelers of America, an international fraternal benefit society headquartered in Columbus.

Bob McCollins of Worthington is the new vice president of marketing for the Order of United Commercial Travelers of America, an international fraternal benefit society headquartered in Columbus.

In his new role, McCollins will promote the growth of UCT's fraternal membership, member benefit programs, member insurance products and product development. He will also work to grow the organization's agent sales force in the United States and Canada.

McCollins has held several positions in sales and sales management in the insurance industry. He was previously employed by the Hylant Group, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Central Benefits, CoreSource and MetLife.

McCollins is a member of the Human Resource Association of Central Ohio and the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Healthcare Committee.

He is an elder at Worthington Christian Church, a supporter of Young Life, a past president of the Ashland University Parents Association and former executive director of Partners for Citizenship and Character.

McCollins attended Ohio State University.

The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) has named Shawn Hufstedler as its new finance director.

Hufstedler, a resident of Worthington, replaces Carl Styers, who held the position of finance director since September 2002.

Hufstedler most recently served as director of finance and grants for the Community Shelter Board, directing and coordinating the activities of the Finance & Grants Administration Department. He was also responsible for the financial operations of the organization.

As the director of finance for MORPC, Hufstedler will lead all activities of the Finance Department, which include agency finance, complex accounting, annual and program specific audits, risk management, and contractual and legal matters.

Hufstedler currently serves as the chair of the board of directors of First Night Columbus. He is a member of the Association of Governmental Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

He received his undergraduate degrees in accounting and finance from Ohio State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Chuck DeVendra of Worthington has been appointed to the board of directors of LifeCare Alliance, central Ohio's leading Meals-on-Wheels provider.

DeVendra is the director of sales for WBNS 10TV and the Ohio News Network. He was previously employed as the general sales manager of WTSP TV in Tampa, Fla.

A graduate of The Ohio State University, DeVendra currently serves on the board of the Capital Square Foundation and is a past member of the Hannah Neil Foundation board.

DeVendra is a graduate of the National Association of Broadcasters Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
