To enter Northwest Library's Edible Books Contest, create an entirely edible entry with a book or literary theme. Registration and set up starts at 6 p.m. today (Thursday, April 1), and voting and viewing will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Awards will be presented following judging, and the entries will be eaten. Celebrity judges include Robin Davis from The Dispatch Kitchen and local food blogger Lisa the Waitress. Those attending Babytime with Baby Sign will learn basic signs to teach babies. The four-week session begins at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, at Old Worthington Library. For ages 6 and younger and their caregivers. Worthington Park Library will host a Captain Underpants Party at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 7. The party will feature games and activities based on Dav Pilkey's popular series. John Mueller, professor of political science at Ohio State University, will discuss "nuclear alarmism" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, at Old Worthington Library. His talk is part of the Conversations in the Humanities with Fred Andrle series.
