The Get Smart! Book Discussion Group, organized in conjunction with the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce, meets quarterly to discuss books of interest to leaders, supervisors and professionals. The next meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. today (April 29) at AAA Auto Club, 90 E. Wilson Bridge Road. The selected title is "Leadership Gold: Lessons Learned from a Lifetime of Leading" by John C. Maxwell.

The winners of the library's eighth annual teen poetry and short story competition will be announced at Teen Open Mic Night. The event begins at 7 p.m. today (April 29) at Old Worthington Library. All teen writers are invited to share their work.

Representatives of Local Matters will present "Eating Green" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, at Old Worthington Library. They will discuss how food choices affect not only personal health but the health of the planet.

The Speaking Volumes Book Discussion Group will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, at Old Worthington Library. The book will be Mary Ann Shaffer's "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society."
