When you live in Worthington, there is no reason to sit home on summer weekends.

Beginning this past Sunday night with the sounds of the Worthington Symphonic Band, and continuing through early October, the Village Green will be the center of community activity every weekend.

The Worthington Family Concerts on the Green will be held each Sunday at 7 p.m. It is not unusual for hundreds to turn out for some of the more popular acts. Veterans know to come early and bring a chair.

Every Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon, the popular farmers market stretches from the south edge of the Green to South Street. All along High Street, community members and visitors browse and buy fresh produce, baked goods, plants and flowers, and other homegrown and handmade goodies.
