Stephen Lilly, a resident of northwest Columbus, has joined Marketing Works as group practice leader.

Stephen Lilly, a resident of northwest Columbus, has joined Marketing Works as group practice leader.

Marketing Works is a Worthington-based strategic marketing communications and public relations firm.

Lilly was previously employed as vice president of marketing and media for Children's Hunger Alliance. He also oversaw media operations for the Columbus Metropolitan Library. In his new role, Lilly will oversee the firm's existing public relations initiatives, generate new business and manage accounts.

Lilly is an alumnus of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and a graduate of Ohio University's E.W. Scripps School of Journalism.

Worthington residents Nancy M. Case and Laura Schmidt-Moats have been elected to serve on the New Directions Career Center board of trustees.

Case is the director of transitional workforce at Columbus State Community College. She brings a long history in the nonprofit community to NDCC, including time serving in the Peace Corps. Case was also employed with the United Way and at Leadership Worthington.

Schmidt-Moats is a mortgage loan officer for CF bank. She has previously filled board terms with NDCC and also has undertaken committee work for the organization. Schmidt-Moats also volunteers for the Junior League of Columbus, the YWCA, the Phoenix Theatre for Children and many other philanthropic causes.
