A new restaurant will open in the former Cafe Daniela space, according to a written statement from the city of Worthington.

Rivage Atlantique, a full-service restaurant and bar, will open in 2011, before spring, according to owners Brett Holland and Bill Cosgrove, who also own the Grandview Cafe. Holland is a longtime Worthington resident.

Renovations are set to begin next week.

The space is at 652 High St., in the shopping strip that includes House Wine, the Candle Lab, Elli nail salon and Graeter's. It has been vacant since last summer, when Cafe Daniela closed its doors.

The chef will be Rich Flagg, who has more than 25 years of culinary experience, according to the city.

The menu will specialize in dishes from New England and the south Atlantic's low country.
