Kitchen Kapers, a tour of remodeled gourmet kitchens in the Upper Arlington area, is scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11.

Kitchen Kapers is organized each year by volunteer members of Riverside Methodist Hospital Service Board VII. Since its inception in 1987, Kitchen Kapers has raised more than $352,000, donating $41,000 from last year's event to Riverside Cancer Services.

This year the event will help fund the Artist in Residence Program, a "hands-on" program that brings artists to the bedside of cancer patients and their families at Riverside Methodist. These professional artists enhance the patients' experience through a variety of creative outlets including music, literary and visual arts.

The Kitchen Kapers tour inspires viewers to gather ideas for their own home renovations while featuring exceptional kitchens, food samples and floral arrangements from popular local businesses.

Ellie Merritt, NBC4 anchor and reporter, will serve as honorary spokesperson.

For additional information on Kitchen Kaper, visit our website at www.kitchenkapers.org.

Tickets are $20 and are available at Huffman's Market, Chocolate Cafe, or from any Kitchen Kapers member. They can also be purchased at the door of any participating home the day of the event for $25.

Kitchens to be shown are at: 1593 Essex Road, 2000 Upper Chelsea Road, 2065 Fontenay Place, 4120 Greensview Drive, 2730 Crafton Park and 1955 Upper Chelsea Road.
