Although a certified public accountant by trade, the New Lexington.native is also a fervent fan of Ohio State University football.

In 1980, after talking OSU football as a guest commentator on a Columbus radio station's sports show, Park was offered a freelance job, and his career as OSU's football historian had begun.

In the mid-1980s, he started recording his "Buckeye Flashbacks," which today run statewide each season on the Ohio State Football Radio Network. His football commentaries air on Sports Radio 97.1 The Fan.

Park has also written two books about his beloved Buckeyes: "The Official Ohio State Football Encyclopedia" and "The Ohio State University Football Vault: The History of the Buckeyes."

Today, Park travels the county as an accomplished speaker, having combined his love of football and business acumen into a leadership development program for corporations and associations.

The certified professional speaker has given managers at Microsoft, BMW Financial Services, Home Depot and others leadership advice based on examples from those Park calls "football's master coaches."

On Sept. 8, Park will visit Northwest Library, 2280 Hard Road, for the program, "Tales from the Gridiron: A Look at Ohio State Football History." He'll discuss OSU football's storied history and milestone events that have made it what it is today.

Park will also sell (cash and check only) and sign copies of his books at the event, which starts at 7 p.m.
