At 1:15 a.m. Aug. 23 at Perry Middle School, 2341 Snouffer Road: Three people attempted to break a lock on a shed. Two males fled but later were identified by a female companion, who was apprehended on the scene.

At 4:20 p.m. Aug. 23 in the 400 block of East Stafford Avenue: Someone cut the cable lock from a bicycle and put it in the back of a vehicle. A witness yelled, and the would-be thief put the bicycle back in the yard. The suspect was described as a light-skinned African-American; 6-foot-2, 230 pounds with short hair. He was driving a small beat-up dark-blue sedan with a broken window and two temporary tires.

Between 4 and 5:50 p.m. Aug. 23 in the 300 block of Loveman Avenue: The chain lock was cut and a bicycle was stolen.

Between 9 and 9:49 a.m. Aug. 24 in the 400 block of Schrock Road: A wallet and phone were stolen from the tractor part of a truck while the driver was unloading the trailer.

At about midnight Aug. 24 in the 200 block of East North Street: A bicycle was stolen from an unlocked rack on a parked vehicle.
