The following programs, classes and events are offered by the Peggy R. McConnell Arts Center of Worthington, 777 Evening St. The MAC is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 12 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Late hours until 9 p.m. are offered Tuesdays and Thursdays. Building admission and parking are free. For more information, call (614) 431-0329.
• “Off the Wall: Ohio Art League” is on view through Jan. 8, featuring sculptures created by visual artists that live and work in Ohio.
• Art teachers and staff members from Worthington schools are featured in an exhibition at the MAC through Jan. 23.
• “Andrea Myers: Everlasting,” is on view through Jan. 23. Myers identifies herself as a painter who constructs painterly sculptures and installations.
• Coffee House Jams are held at the MAC from 6 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday. Grab a cup of coffee, fire up a laptop, or just hang out in the gallery and listen to some music. Members of the Ohio Fingerstyle Guitar Club will perform.
• Jared Mahone will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1. Mahone is described as a “soul machine” with a gospel-folk-blues-rock undertones. Tickets are $8 online, $10 at the door, $5 for students and free for children 11 and younger.
• The MAC writers group, led by David Bell, meets every other Friday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Free. The next meeting is Dec. 2. Read, share and offer feedback to others in the group.
• The MAC songwriters group meets the first Tuesday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m. The next meeting is Dec. 6. Members will discuss some general guidelines, and spend some time playing their instruments.
• Wrap It Up at the MAC will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11. Discover affordable, artful gifts for family and friends. Ceramics, jewelry, scarves, cards and ornaments will be available. All artist-made.
