The following is a list of Columbus and Franklin County Metropolitan Park District programs for this week.
Battelle-Darby
Creek Metro Park
1775 Darby Creek Drive, Galloway
• Owls of Darby Creek, 5 p.m. Saturday at the Pleasant Valley bulletin board, 9137 state Route 62. Meet an owl from the Ohio Wildlife Center and attempt to call in one of these birds of prey on a short hike.
Blacklick Woods Metro Park
6975 E. Livingston Ave., Reynoldsburg
• Holiday Nature Crafts for Kids, 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the Nature Center, for ages 3-12. Share an afternoon of making crafts.
Blendon Woods Metro Park
4265 State Route 161 E., Westerville
• Photo Prowl, 10 a.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Join other photographers and look for great shots along the trails.
• Family Hike, 1 p.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Take a two-mile walk and admire the winter scenery.
• Audubon Bird Hike, 10 a.m. Sunday at the Nature Center. Take a two-mile hike to Thoreau Lake and look for resident birds.
Chestnut Ridge
Metro Park

• Make Your Own Winter Hike Walking Stick, 11 a.m. Saturday at the Springhouse Program Area. Bring your own pocketknife and make your own walking stick. Children younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Glacier Ridge Metro Park
9801 Hyland Croy Road, Plain City
• Family Winter Walk, 2 p.m. Sunday at the bulletin board at the main picnic shelter. Look for signs of wildlife on a one-mile walk through forest and fields.
Highbanks Metro Park

• Who Hoots for You, 6 p.m. Sunday at the Nature Center. Try to lure in owls for a closer look.
Inniswood Metro Gardens

• Meet the Artist, 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Innis House. Meet December Artist of the Month Georgie Cline and view her fiber artwork.
Pickerington Ponds
Metro Park

Canal Winchester
• Winter Birds, 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Glacier Knoll Picnic Area. Search for birds on a one-mile hike on- and off-trail.
• Backcountry Wandering, 2 p.m. Sunday at the Glacier Knoll Picnic Area. Search for wildlife on a two-mile off-trail hike.
Slate Run Metro Park
1375 state Route 674 N., Canal Winchester
• Coyote Prowl, 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Buzzard’s Roost Picnic Area. Learn about coyotes and take a 1.5-mile walk to try to hear them howl.

Living Historical Farm

• Christmas is Coming, 1-3 p.m. Saturday. Help decorate the farmhouse for the Christmas season in Victorian fashion. String popcorn, make an ornament to take home and decorate the tree.
Three Creeks Park
3860 Bixby Road, Groveport
• Winter Puppet Show, 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at the Heritage Nature Center, 551 Wirt Road. Watch the puppet animals get ready for winter.
