Good music, good food and good auction items are on the menu at the Jazzy Summer Fundraiser slated for Saturday night, July 28.

The social event will raise money for the Healthy Worthington Resource Center and Food Pantry.

The setting will be the newly renovated Shops At Worthington Place. Though the stores will be closed during the 7-10 p.m. event, guests will be able to enjoy the new finishings, including the play areas and furniture.

Bradley Sowash, a nationally known jazz pianist who lives in Worthington, will entertain.

Host for the evening will be Ann Fisher, host and executive producer of All Sides with Ann Fisher on WOSU's 89.7 FM NPR News.

She also lives in Worthington and is a supporter of the resource center and food pantry.

Food will be provided by Rivage Atlantique, J. Liu Restaurant and Bar, Made from Scratch Fine Catering, Two Caterers, Catering By Design, First Watch and Panera Bread.

Live and silent auctions will include a wide range of items, such as jewelry, OSU football tickets, police ride-alongs and dinner at the fire station.

Tickets are $25 in advance or $35 at the door. Pre-event tickets may be purchased on the food pantry's website.

Target attendance is 250 for this inaugural social fundraiser for the resource center and food pantry.

"It should be a good evening," said Debra Gray Boyd, the center's director.

It could be the first of many such events, she said.

"We plan to make it even bigger and better next year," she said.
