Students at five Worthington schools returned to find new principals in the office this year.

Chris Hasebrook is not exactly new to the Linworth Alternative Program. He has taught English there since 1987. He is new as the director, though, taking over for Wayne Harvey, who retired at the end of last year.

Hasebrook will continue to teach classes at the school.

The others are elementary principals.

Madeline Partlow is the new principal at Colonial Hills Elementary School, taking over for Henk DeRee, who retired.

Cindi Montgomery is the new principal at Wilson Hill Elementary School, replacing Jamie Lusher, who moved to a position in the central administration.

She comes to the district from the Hilliard City Schools, where she was principal at Hilliard Crossing Elementary School.

he also has been a teacher and administrator in the Delaware school district.

Patti Schlaegel replaces Jason Spencer as principal at Granby Elementary School. She taught at Sutter Park and Liberty elementary schools from 1988 until last year, when she became an instructional coach at Liberty and Brookside elementary schools.

She also is the director of Worthington's summer school.

Holly Coombs is the new principal at Liberty Elementary School. She succeeds James Baker, who retired.

She has been an elementary school principal in the Northwest Local School District in the Cincinnati area since 1995. From 1992 to 1995, she was an assistant elementary school principal in the Lakota school district.
