The football game between the Thomas Worthington Cardinals and the Worthington Kilbourne Wolves will bring together the entire community Friday night (Aug. 31) at Thomas Worthington High School.

The football game between the Thomas Worthington Cardinals and the Worthington Kilbourne Wolves will bring together the entire community Friday night (Aug. 31) at Thomas Worthington High School.

Community Night will start at 5 p.m. and feature food, music, a live television broadcast and recognition of Worthington Youth Boosters football players and cheerleaders, as well as the 1992 high school teams.

The 12 sponsors of the new scoreboard at Thomas Worthington also will be recognized.

"Taste of the Town" is sponsored by the Thomas Worthington PTO. Everyone is invited to attend as early as 5 p.m. to enjoy food from Graeter's, Chuckwagon, Green Meanie food truck, Dan's Deli and Crepes A La Carte.

Bands will play, a disc jockey will be on hand, and cheerleaders will paint faces.

Special guests will be the Ohio Army National Guard. Ohio Health will bring an obstacle course.

A hospitality tent will be set up for the businesses that paid for the new scoreboard. They also will be recognized at halftime.

At 7 p.m., all Worthington Youth Boosters football players and cheerleaders will be announced and recognized on the field.

At 7:15, the captains and head coaches of the 1992 football teams will do the coin toss.

The Thomas football coach was Terry Lichtenberg. The Kilbourne coach was Jeff Gafford.

Captains were Derrin Ritchie, Tom Worthington, Antonio Benton and Mark Amos from Thomas Worthington and Brian Cook, John Bagley, Ryan Kelly and Brian Tabb from Worthington Kilbourne.
