Gov. John Kasich helped welcome Insight Bank to the Worthington community during a grand-opening ceremony Oct. 24.
The corporate offices and community bank branch are at 150 W. Wilson Bridge Road, in the newly renovated building that once was Dalt's restaurant and an adjoining office building.
Kasich spoke about the importance of the involvement of local banks in creating new jobs for central Ohio residents.
The new business has added 50 jobs to the Worthington community, said Harvey Glick, president and CEO of Insight Bank.
Lou Goorey, Worthington City Council president, also spoke during the opening, which about 350 people attended.
Insight is owned by 100 shareholders who live and work in central Ohio, and its board of directors comprises local business owners.
Because Insight is committed to supporting its community, loan decisions are made at Insight, not in some far-away city, Glick said. Insight believes in "local, not global banking," he said.
