Smash-and-grab thief leaves blood

Police collected blood samples from a vehicle that was broken into overnight Feb. 17 in the 5800 block of Olentangy Boulevard in Riverlea.

The thief smashed a window and took cash from the vehicle. The blood sample will be DNA tested.

On Feb. 17, the Kroger pharmacy at the Shops at Worthington Place received a phone call for a bogus prescription.

The person showed up to pick up the drugs but was turned away.

The incident was reported to police on Feb. 18.

Overnight on Feb. 21, someone broke into a business in the 2100 block of West Dublin-Granville Road and stole petty cash.

Entry was made by prying open a rear door.

A driver fled on foot after being stopped for a speed violation Feb. 24 at 1:30 a.m. in the 6500 block of North High Street.

Police were unable to locate the driver, who was seen running westbound to southbound behind a business.
